These terms cover the chaiiwala rewards scheme: how you earn, what your balance is worth, and when it expires. They sit alongside our terms of use and terms of business.

the app is closing

The chaiiwala app stops working on 31 August 2026. The rewards scheme moves to ordering.chaiiwala.co.uk, where you sign in with the same details and your balance is already loaded. There is nothing to download. You can add the site to your phone’s home screen and it opens like an app.

your points become chaii credit

Any points you hold convert automatically to chaii credit on 31 August 2026, at 100 points = £1. So 500 points becomes £5.00 of chaii credit.

when chaii credit expires

Chaii credit converted from points must be redeemed by 1 March 2027. Credit not redeemed by then expires and cannot be reinstated.

The same expiry applies to play & win winnings. It does not apply to chaii wallet top-up bonus credit, which does not expire.

Money you top up yourself does not expire. The balance you have paid for stays in your chaii wallet until you spend it.

stamps

The scheme collects stamps rather than points. You collect a stamp on each qualifying order over £2.50.

Stamps are not redeemed. Each time your balance reaches a rung below, the reward is issued to your account automatically:

• 5 stamps: a free regular hot drink
• 10 stamps: a free street food item
• 15 stamps: a free wala wrap

Stamps themselves do not expire. Once a stamp reward has been awarded to you, it must be used within 90 days, after which it expires.

chaii legend status

Everyone starts as a chaii lover. Collect 15 stamps in total across the lifetime of your account and you become a chaii legend.

To keep it, collect at least 5 stamps in each calendar month. Fall below that and you return to chaii lover, and can win legend status back by reaching 15 lifetime stamps again. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you before you lose it.

Chaii legend benefits:

• A 15% bonus on every chaii wallet top-up, where a chaii lover earns 10%

play & win

Every qualifying order also earns you one play. Every play awards a prize; there are no losing plays. Prizes may be chaii wallet credit, an extra stamp, or a voucher for something off the menu.

• A play expires 30 days after it is awarded.
• A prize voucher expires 14 days after it is issued.
• Prizes are awarded at random from the prize pool in force at the time. Individual prizes may be capped, and the pool and the odds attached to it can change at any time.

chaii wallet top-ups

The minimum top-up is £5, the maximum single top-up is £100, and a chaii wallet can hold up to £200 at a time.

Every top-up earns bonus credit on top of the amount you add: 10% as a chaii lover and 15% as a chaii legend. A £10 top-up is worth £11 to a chaii lover and £11.50 to a chaii legend. The bonus is worked out on the amount of that single top-up and is added at the same time, subject to the £200 wallet ceiling. Bonus credit does not expire.

As above, neither the money you top up yourself nor the bonus credit earned on a top-up expires. Both stay in your chaii wallet until you spend them. The credit that does expire, on the dates set out above, is play & win winnings and credit converted from points.

• Stamps, rewards and chaii credit have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for cash.
• Rewards and credit are not transferable between accounts.
• The scheme runs at participating stores. Check the store locator for your nearest.
• One account per person. We may withdraw rewards obtained through misuse of the scheme.
• We may change or withdraw the scheme. Where a change materially affects credit or rewards you already hold, we will tell you in advance by email or in the app.
